Learning opportunities with the CSU System

The CSU System provides credit and degree programs, free and non-credit courses for community, as well as certificate programs, to make learning accessible. Some programs will be offered at the future CSU Spur campus.

CSU supports educational access through a variety of scholarships and grants that make college more affordable.

  • CSU Spur

    Students who have lived in the 80216 zip code for at least two years are eligible upon admission to a CSU System institution (CSU, CSU Pueblo, CSU Global) for the need-based CSU Spur Scholarship, which grants students in good academic standing up to $2,500 annually for four years. As a need-based scholarship, eligible students receive financial aid packages from their institution of admission; thus, the Spur Scholarship funds may be used for any student needs such as textbooks, housing, or food. The Scholarship will be awarded beginning in Fall 2021.

  • CSU Fort Collins
    • CSU Tuition Assistance Grant: Free tuition for income-qualified students. A student will be considered if their Expected Family Contributionis under $17,000 and their adjusted gross income is under $110,000.
    • Partnership Award: $2,500/year for up to 5 years
    • First Generation Award: $4,000/year for 4 years
    • Merit-based Scholarships: $1,000-$4,000/year for 4 years


    TOTAL = Pell + tuition covered by CSU + $6,500+/year in scholarships and awards and merit awards of $1,000-$4,000/year for 4 years

  • CSU Pueblo
    • Commitment to Colorado Award: $1,000/year for up to 4 years
    • First Generation Scholarship: $1,000/year for up to 4 years
    • Merit-based Scholarships: $1,000-$8,000/year for 4 years


    TOTAL = Pell + $2,000+/year in scholarships and awards and merit awards of $1,000-$8,000/year for 4 years

  • CSU Global
    • Scholarships at CSU Global: Scholarship opportunities exist for people working to enhance their career, who served in the military, are diversity advocates or embody the mission of CSU Global.
    • Affinity discount: The CSU System is exploring an affinity discount for GES residents to attend CSU Global.




    Tuition stays flat at CSU Global.

*Packages include general university scholarships; however, many additional scholarships are available based on merit and areas of interest for the student.
